We’re Lance & Katey Johnson, owners of Zero Cattle Ranch. We are located in Southeast Oklahoma, about 2 hours above Dallas. The ranch was started by Lance’s grandparents in the 1960s, and we have since had the honor to take over and grow the ranch.
Lance’s grandfather experimented with different genetics and came to develop the "Zero" breed for which the ranch gets its name. We currently maintain a small pure bred herd of "Zeros" as well as registered Red & Black Angus, and commercial cattle.
Taking care of the ranch together is our biggest passion and joy. Whether we are watching an Oklahoma sunset, sorting cows in the pens, tagging new babies, or just riding around, we feel so blessed to be able to preserve this ranching heritage.
Most Americans are at least three generations removed from agriculture now. Our goal is to educate consumers about where their beef comes from, and ensure they know it is ethically, morally, and responsibly raised- besides being the healthiest and most delicious protein source of all.
Our beef is pasture raised and hormone/antibiotic free. This means our cattle are never given hormones or antibiotics and spend the majority of their lives free grazing on pasture. Before processing they are supplemented with a custom feed to increase flavor, tenderness, and marbling. Cattle are then harvested humanely at a local USDA approved processor.
We are honored to be able to feed the world safe, wholesome, delicious, and nutrient dense protein.
Zero Cattle Ranch appreciates your business! We ship on Mondays or Tuesdays in a thermal lined box packed with dry ice to ensure your product arrives safely. We always ship two day air.
